Video "Dark Night" is a part of the set of "Music Videos", compressed works, merging music recordings with visual images as signifiers. Some of the music tracks are more Pop studio recordings with a band, some, as is the case of the "Dark Night" music track, are works produced in a solitary creative process at home, merging electronics, amplifier & guitar and vocals with sounds from 1st Av. in East Village, Manhattan, sometimes bleeding into the recording. As the lyrics of the song, "It’s such a dark night, such a lonely night...« tell, the track was recorded in the middle of the night, sometimes circa 2002, as a result of deep urban alienation. In 2013, the song locked into a perfect image, a signifier, Dark Star, the planet of doom, like in ancient myths when a god pears in a dream with a dark warning. The image is of Saturn taken by Cassini space probe that is on an ongoing mission, producing sublime images of our Jungian subconsciousness. (Source: Emil Memon)
