“DITOPIA ATMOS LJUBLJANA” (2024) is a photo animation with accompanying music, based on an extensive collection of "walk - laps" photographs, captured during a continuous walk through the exhibition openings in some event spaces in Ljubljana, mainly in connection with the production activities of the Kersnikova Institute. Author rounded up a significant part of the material in 2009 and presented it at that time in the form of an interactive installation "Ditopia Kažipot Ljubljana" in the Kapelica Gallery at Kersnikova 4. In 2024 he expanded his "1 photo every 3 steps" photographic journey into some additional spaces and events and invited some of the artists and visitors he recorded fifteen years before to reappear in front of the lens. In this way, while viewing the ongoing walk through successive shots step by step, we might notice up to 15 years time jumps.
Transitions between the photographs in the film are followed by music based on fluid transitions (morphing) between sound parameters of Sequential Pro 3 synthesizer.
And a surprise? There is a considerable probability that many potential viewers from intermedia scene in Ljubljana will discover their own portrait in the film - either recent or from long ago. The lucky ones will be rejuvenated by 15 years during 23-minute journey.
DITOPIA ATMOS LJUBLJANA premiere projection was presented in Cirkulacija 2 Hall, Ljubljana, 23. 12. 2024

ATMOS, a special journey into Ljubljana’s art production and exhibition spaces, takes us from performative presentations to individual and collective exhibitions. Iztok Amon, Andrej Kamnik and Maja Sever showcase their latest works at Kiberpipa (Cyberpipe) before entering Sašo Sedlaček’s exhibition at Eurocenter. We cross over time and space, from Kapelica Gallery activities in 2009 to the nowadays Kersnikova Institute, where we meet the artistic group “Where Dogs Run.” We take the lift to the collective exhibition “Arsenal Depo 2K9” at Viba Film Studios, then return to a burned-out project room under reconstruction. Surprise encounters with artists and personalities from the scene, much younger in other parts of the movie, follow. Across the street, we attend the ECSITE 2024 conference at Gospodarsko razstavišče, where Dorotea Dolinšek exhibits her “Exo Auxiliary Respiratory Unit.” We return to old Kersnikova to visit the opening of “Drillrobot - Robot Partner 3.0” by Stefan Doepner & Lars Vaupel. Continuing to Ajdovščina underpass, Špela Petrič performs non-predictive jumps of an atomic particle, long before Cirkulacija 2 finds a place nearby. We leave Špela 15 years behind entering the doors next to her and exit the party through Ryuzo Fukuhara and Zsuzsanna Szegedi-Varga’s performance … until dropping the anchor into the beginnings of performance and multimedia art in ex-Yugoslavia with Tomislav Gotovac in Mala Galerija. There he is, holding his opening speech of “Gone with the wind” exhibition on September 9, 2009.
