Biotope could be described as a self-regulating system of several micro phonies (eight in total), which filled the frequency domain of the gallery. The changes in the sound were a combination of the motion of the microphones, the motion of the space, the absorption bodies in the room and the sound in the room. In short: the installation "listened" to the sound in the space (and thus of itself), and this translates into the movement of microphones. This led to a change in the frequency spectrum in the whole space - the so-called standing waves - which are a kind of space identity for me. In addition to the principle of observation of the autonomy systems, Biotop was also used as an instrument - on the so-called performances. In addition to the two authors, Ludwig Zeininger, Žoambo Žoet Workestrao and Roger Hayes also performed in some ways. Here are some examples of all approaches - but it is clear: much has been lost in translating from resonance to this compact form. (Borut Savski)

Two sperical bowls (from the Dancers series) have simple motorics and a bit more complex sensorics. They are susceptible to the sound they hear, but they also coproduce the sound (compressed microphony). This is why the bowls are full of sound. They can s...
