Marko A. Kovačič - Requiem M (00:04:02)
Production: Studio Brut, 1990
Video documents a performance entitled Requiem, which happened as a part of an exhibition Izkušnja predmeta (Experience of the Object)in Modern gallery in Ljubljana in 1989. The artist conducted the performance on his 33rd birthday. Coated with white wax make-up he immovably lies in a sarcophague for an hour and a half, as long as Mozart's Coronation Mass lasts. With the performance the author partly relived Jesus's experience and predicted the death of human kind. Focused and clear shots of the perf...

Aleksandra Saška Gruden - Self-portrait (00:01:54)
Production: 2001
The video shows the artist wearing a see through mask, which partially covers and deforms her face. A slow rotating camera and the disruption created by the movement add a grotesque and secretive atmosphere to the recording. The black-and-white video is occasionally covered by the disruptions in colour spots, which bring a premonition of a crossing into another reality. (Source: A. S. Gruden)

Nataša Prosenc Stearns - Untitled, 27 March 2020 (04:20)
Production: Nataša Prosenc Stearns, 2020
Video meditation created in isolation of a pandemic. For years, the artist has been recording and archiving video and audio material with ideas that she later articulated and edited into videos, films, and installations. The video is designed for vertical projection and is the first of a series of works emerging in an atmosphere of global health crisis and social distancing. (Source: Nataša Prosenc Stearns)

Production: Uršula Berlot, 2019
Material objects (sculptures) are projected into virtual, fluid spatiality, appearing as dematerialised floating, kinetic light forms, freed of the constraints of time, mass, and gravity. (Source: Uršula Berlot)

Uršula Berlot - Liquid Solidity (05:06)
Production: Uršula Berlot, 2017
The round-shaped form in the process of constant transformation is based on the idea of simulating life at the molecular level. The structure which periodically resembles a virus structure, complex proteins or carbon fullerenes, is being decomposed, transformed and re-shaped in a string of regulatory processes. The fusion of elements according to the rule of shape and anti-shape (the key–lock principle), chain formation, deformation with multiplied symmetry, or a simulation of the Brownian motion crea...

Uršula Berlot - Observatory: Carbon Nanotubes (00:40)
Production: Uršula Berlot, 2016
The sound-kinetic diorama submerged within and enhanced by the audio environment observed through an opening in the surface of a crystal-shaped object imitates the structural makeup of carbon nanotubes visible through a microscope. A hub of tubes creates a nano-topographic simulation, whose technical attributes reveal another specific characteristic uncovered within the domain of light technology: carbon nanotubes, which represent a compelling potential, since they allow, indeed facilitate the transformatio...

Uršula Berlot - Fluid Topography (06:33)
Production: Uršula Berlot, 2014
The recording of dynamic forms of magnetic fluids that are produced by invisible magnetic fields directs the experience of the material in relation to the immaterial. The ferrofluid structures, which are in reality only a few centimeters in height, being transposed into a digital environment operate as macro-scale phenomena that simulate characteristics of the organic, the animate. Fluid topography acts to simulate a natural living organism or process, which by revealing the sphere of unseen magnetic physic...

Lealudvik - I would go poof! (02:04)
Production: Lealudvik, 2017
The two-channel video in the single-channel version shows two parallel images. The video on the left shows the protagonist walking from the city through the park into the woods. At the first trees she undresses and goes naked even deeper into the forest. The video is disrupted by digital glitches which causes the image of the body to disappear, merging with its surroundings. The right video in a short endless loop shows a naked female torso leaning, perhaps strapped, to a tree. Distinct breathing is noticea...

Jatun Risba - Be-coming Cow (trailer) (20:15 (trailer 03:02))
Production: Jatun Risba & Cultural Centre Záhrada (Banská Bystrica, Slovakia), 2020
The video 'Be-coming Cow' was realized during an art residency of Jatun Risba at the cultural centre Záhrada (“Garden”) in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia in the end of Summer 2020. The field research in form of a 3-days cohabitation period with two cows, Hilda and Linda, was conducted at the farm of Ivan Vikár in Zaježová-Dolinky. By approaching domesticated cattle as ancestors and potential teachers, the artist was expanding human consciousness to a more-than-human domai...
